Let’s break it down.

There’s no such thing as perfect posture, everyone comes in different shapes and sizes, what is good for one person (posture wise) might not be for someone else. I think of poor posture as more of a symptom, rather than a condition that needs to be fixed.
Sometimes back pain can seem to come on unannounced, ‘I haven’t done anything’ is a common statement. There could be many other causes of their pain; it’s usually a combination of many different factors. If you’ve seen an Osteopath with a bad back, a common bit of advice you’ve probably heard is that you should go for a walk. Many of us might think that having a scan can only be beneficial as this will keep us informed of what’s going on with our spine. This isn’t always the case, there is research to suggest that having investigative scans can lead to unnecessary surgery or intervention (injections etc) where they possibly weren’t needed.
The muscles on the back of the thigh are called the hamstring muscles. They can be injured following excessive tension through them. This is a common condition known as a ‘Hamstring Strain’. Early intervention is desirable to ensure that rehabilitation is provided at the correct stages of muscle healing. Home exercises are a vital part in ensuring a good repair to the injured area and assist in returning the individual back to full activities as soon as possible.
