Megan Jenkins

Sports Massage Therapist

Since graduating in Sports Therapy from University College Birmingham, Megan has gained her ITEC Level 4 Sports Massage and has worked with athletes from multiple sports via placements, clinics and major sporting events.
When not here at Heavitree Osteopaths, she works as a Sports Therapist one day a week at two local women’s rugby teams – Exeter University Women’s 2nd XV and Exeter Athletic RFC – providing soft-tissue massage and injury assessment.

Megan’s knack for connecting with patients and getting to what is really going on, stems from her naturally friendly, positive approach and belief that by truly working together as patient and therapist, you will find the best solution.

Megan believes in not only treating for present moment but also going forward, as it is often as much about the ‘before’ and ‘after’ – diet and prevention, rest and rehab – as it is about the hands-on treatment itself. No “one-size-fits-all”.

Devon born and raised, Megan grew up in Topsham and comes from a big rugby family: she is a lifelong supporter of both Topsham RFC, playing mixed-team tag rugby from age 16, and Exeter Chiefs. Sport and fitness are part of Megan’s DNA, so when not in the rugby stands, you will find her on the ski slopes, the tennis court, a Cornish wave or at the gym.
